Some info: Bruce was recording the album "The Ghost Of Tom Joad" but thought that he needed a break and at the same time Jon Landau thought that he should make a Greatest Hits album. Bruce liked the idea and looked at what songs that were going to be at the album. He discovered that there had to be a couple of new songs and he had to record them the E Street Band. Even Little Steven war invited. "Blood Brothers" was recorded in many versions before the right one came out. Songs that were recorded but not released were “Without You” and “Back In Your Arms Again”. "Murder Incorporated" war recorded during the “Born In The USA” sessions in 1982 “ This Hard Land" is also recorded in 1982 but war recorded in a new and better version in the winter 1995 and war released on Greatest Hits.

"Face down in the dirt of this hard land (This Hard Land), "With no one runnin' by your side my blood brother (Blood Brothers)".
